While we’re still bundled up, enjoying freshly fallen snow, afternoons on the ice rink, and après-sledding laughs around the firepit, there’s something about kicking the legs up and flipping the calendar to a new year that gets us thinking and dreaming. The 2025 event calendar is out, and though we’re savoring every moment of this beautiful winter season, we can’t help but circle dates and daydream about long summer days in the pines.
It’s no secret that time seems to fly here—one minute, we’re gliding across the ice, and the next, we’re dusting off our clubs, stepping onto pristine fairways, and soaking in Flagstaff’s perfect summer weather. That’s the beauty of Pine Canyon. It’s a place where every season offers something unique, where you trade city noise for the sound of wind through the trees and your biggest decision of the day is whether to hit the course, the trails, or simply kick back and enjoy a glass of wine on the patio.
For many, Pine Canyon is more than a second home—it’s an escape from the triple-digit heat of the Valley, a retreat where summer still feels like summer. Kids roam free, making memories at Camp Pine Canyon, while parents swap office attire for golf polos and an extra few hours in the sun. The community comes alive with backyard barbecues, twilight rounds, and spontaneous gatherings that turn into nights filled with laughter.
And with the summer calendar now in hand, we can already feel the energy building. Holiday weekends packed with fishing derbies, fun runs, and family celebrations. Themed nights at the clubhouse that remind us not to take ourselves too seriously. Golf tournaments that bring out just the right amount of friendly competition. So for now, we’ll enjoy these crisp winter days, take a few more runs at Snowbowl, and watch the sledding hill come to life. But we also know that before long, the scent of fresh-cut grass will fill the air, the fairways will be buzzing, and another unforgettable Pine Canyon summer will be in full swing.
