For The Love Of Summer
We are lucky at Pine Canyon to experience every season, even in a state known most prominently for its desert landscape. We see snow in the winter — enough for a full ski season — a golden canopy of leaves in the fall, and a spring that benefits from snowmelt that feeds local falls and creeks.
Summer, though, has a special feeling to it at Pine Canyon.
It’s the time of year when we gather at the first tee box, preparing for a tournament on our championship course that will bring us all back together afterward, for celebration and stories at our award-winning clubhouse.
It’s a season for socializing outdoors, as live music permeates our crisp, fresh Flagstaff air and we gather to celebrate summer holidays with games, fundraisers, and sweet treats. It’s when additional daylight hours allow us more time to explore the pines around us, discover new mountain biking trails or linger longer at Lake Mary, hoping to bring home a solid catch and an even better story.
And summer is when the youngest members of our community lose track of time while making crafts, friends, and lasting memories at Camp Pine Canyon, our onsite day camp that keeps kids busy with swimming, excursions, and curated activities.
Summer is different than any other season at Pine Canyon. It’s a season full of events, fed by nearly perfect weather and a pretty flawless setting, against a backdrop of mountain peaks and the country’s largest stand of Ponderosa pine trees.
