Fall: A Season of Opportunity
It’s sweatshirt season at Pine Canyon. It’s snuggly socks season, it’s long-sleeve T-shirt season and it’s the leading edge of hot cocoa season at this exclusive mountain community in Flagstaff, Arizona.
October, the heart of autumn, gives us the opportunity to bundle up a bit more, to layer when we explore, to pack away the flip flops and exchange them for trail running sneakers and hiking boots and socks that wick away the water they absorb when we trek through creeks and ride through puddles.
Our fall weather gives us the opportunity to create a cozy space, indoors or out, bringing our family and friends together around our gas-powered fireplaces for memorable conversations and stargazing into Flagstaff skies protected from light pollution.
And, if we’re out early enough each morning, it gives us the opportunity to see what our breath looks like against the backdrop of dense pine trees and Arizona’s highest mountain peak.
Living at Pine Canyon, in a cabin crafted to serve as a customized refuge, means fall and it’s very welcome, crisp air is always just outside an open window or a door intentionally left ajar. Autumn is in the backyard, it’s along a trail colored by changing leaves and it can be felt on every hole of our championship golf course.
It is a season to explore, before the weather calls for even more layers and heavier boots, and before we spend snowy afternoons inside our warm cabins.
