Choose Your Wheels at Pine Canyon

A round of championship golf at Pine Canyon comes with a number of things. There’s the personal greeting and lively conversation from club staff before heading out, the stunning views of the San Francisco Peaks throughout the course, and the unique stop to fuel up, midway, at Morrish Station located at the turn.

That round, though, also comes with the freedom to choose how to experience it on a course that follows the natural and undulating terrain of the land. At Pine Canyon, our club has options.

Members can choose to navigate our course’s wide, lush fairways on foot by partnering with a caddie. That approach allows players the freedom to access the course in ways they can’t otherwise, absorbing every step from tee box to pin while enjoying the sweeping views that change at every turn.

Or, members can use a cart — their own or one from the club fleet. It’s the most traditional way to cruise around the course, which includes some elevation change here and there. And this season, to address health and safety concerns, we offered to assign carts to members for the entire season rather than circulating the carts from round to round. The adjustment was met with enthusiasm and we’re pleased we were able to offer that type of accommodation under the current circumstances.

Players who aren’t interested in walking but are also uninterested in committing to a cart for a round, can try one of our phat scooters. The one-person, electric scooters hold a cooler and a bag, and allow players to zip around the course in a less cumbersome way than a cart allows. While cart path rules still apply to phat scooters, they allow groups to get through fairways quicker by giving players the freedom to peel off and find their ball without having to walk.

Regardless of the choice, Pine Canyon is a course that must be experienced. Photos just don’t do it justice, and can’t capture the crisp, mountain air, the welcome hospitality throughout the club, and the hang time that comes with a tee shot hit at a higher elevation.
