Best-Kept Secret in Flagstaff

The best-kept secret in Flagstaff is our easy access to some of Arizona’s top hiking and biking trails. Our community is surrounded by acres of Ponderosa Pines that make up the Coconino National Forest. Not only is Pine Canyon located next to the Coconino National Forest, but it also has the Flagstaff Urban Trail System running through the property.

The FUTS trail is made up of 56 miles of trail, that winds throughout all of Flagstaff. So, there is never a shortage of new trails to try. If biking appeals to you perhaps try out our electric-assist mountain bikes and cruise the trails that border Pine Canyon. One, in particular, is Fisher Point Trail, a 4.5 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located off the east border of Pine Canyon. The views from this trail are breathtaking as it combines forest, meadow, and limestone walls as well as wildlife.

If staying close to home entices you more, the main road in Pine Canyon, Clubhouse Circle, is a 3-mile loop that changes in altitude and is the perfect warmup or chill down from a day on the golf course. With perfect weather for nearly 8 months of the year, opting outside and partaking in one of the many Northern Arizona trails is definitely on everyone’s to-do list.
